MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL, Philippines —  celebrated it’s 88th Provincial Anniversary and 8th Pas’ungko S’g MisOcc Festival 2017 last November 6 with the theme “Pasalamat sa Abundang Abot ug Kita sa Katilingbang Misamisnon”. As usual, the traditional opening of the event which is the flag-raising ceremony was attended by Gov. Herminia De Mesa Ramiro, members of the Provincial Board, and Capitol employees.

The ceremony was followed by the Mardi Gras Parade is also known as the Thanksgiving and unity dance which was participated by the Capitol employees in various offices. It was held at the Capitol Grounds where employees from different departments had witnessed the competition. Each group gave a delightful performance during the show. In the afternoon was followed by a Holy Mass participated by the Capitol Employees. After the Mass Gov. Herminia Ramiro expressed her appreciation and thanks to the Capitol employees who supported the 88th Provincial Anniversary and encouraged everyone to come and celebrate the Provincial Anniversary with food booths, exhibits, and agricultural products, to chose and purchased and fireworks display afterwards.

It was then followed by the opening of a week-long PAS’UNGKO DESTINATION/ICON AND TRADE FAIR at the front of the Capitol building such as the exhibits of agricultural products and delicacies and other items by different towns and cities of the province.
