
Misamis OccidentalāAs part of the provinceās ongoing efforts to bring joy and support to its residents during the holiday season, Governor Henry S. Oaminal announced that over 39,000 beneficiaries across Misamis Occidental have received food packs, dressed chickens, and cash gifts through the provinceās Pamaskong Handog 2024 initiative.
The initiative, which started with distributions in Conception (2,281 beneficiaries), Panaon (3,717), Calamba (9,867), Oroquieta (12,229), and Plaridel (11,509) is a result of the strong partnership between the Provincial Government, local government units, and support from First District Congressman Jason P. Almonte and Second District Congressman Ando Oaminal.
“This initiative is not just about giving material giftsāit is about sharing love and ensuring that our people experience the joy and warmth of the season,” said Governor Oaminal.
āOur government remains committed to making sure that every family in Misamis Occidental feels the spirit of Christmas, especially those in need,ā he added.
The distribution of food packs and gifts will continue until just before Christmas, with more towns and cities set to benefit from the program.
Governor Oaminal emphasized that the Pamaskong Handog is a testament to the collective effort of government officials and the active participation of the community in achieving meaningful progress.
“Our Asensoāour progressācould not have been achieved without the strong support and involvement of the people of Misamis Occidental,” Governor Oaminal added. “Together, we continue working towards our vision of peace, prosperity, and happiness, building a brighter future for all.”
