Governor Henry S. Oaminal of Misamis Occidental attended the national launch of ‘Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Bayan Makikinabang’ at the Heroes Hall in Malacañan Palace on February 23, 2026, highlighting Misamis Occidental’s active role in ensuring faster and equitable delivery of government services.
The program, led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., seeks to close the “opportunity gap” by ensuring that national economic progress reaches households across the country, focusing on food, health, education, and livelihood.
Under the 2026 General Appropriations Act, the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) received its largest allocation ever at Php57.872 billion, including the Financial Assistance to LGUs (FALGU), Growth Equity Fund (GEF), Support to Barangay Development Program, and Support and Assistance Fund for Participatory Budgeting.
During the program, President Marcos Jr. handed over FALGU Rice Approval Letters to league officers from ULAP, LPP, LCP, and LMP. Half of the allocation is earmarked for a nationwide rice distribution program, providing 10 kilograms of rice monthly to identified families for six months each year.
Governor Oaminal’s attendance reflects Misamis Occidental’s commitment to ensuring that LGU-led programs deliver essential services and livelihood support effectively.
The ‘Sa Bagong Pilipinas, Bawat Bayan Makikinabang’ campaign demonstrates the Administration’s commitment to directly channeling resources to LGUs, ensuring that no community is left behind in the journey toward a Bagong Pilipinas.
