- PARISH CHURCH OF SAINT JOHN THE BAPTIST – is one of the oldest churches in the Philippines. The Century-old Spanish Catholic Church is nestled within the predominantly Catholic town of Jimenez. Jimenez is one of the nine original towns of Misamis Occidental. Today, it is one of the fastest growing towns in Misamis Occidental. The church of Jimenez really looks old and silent. It is located along the highway. Even though the church is old, one can still say that the church is beautiful inside out and along with fine design and architecture, visitors will surely be impressed. Inside the church, people can see the old church altar including the Gothic-style pillars keep its beauty throughout the years. One of the central attractions in the church is the paintings on its ceiling which is really interesting and fascinating.
