  • Capayas Island – A unique island with tantalizing clear water ideal for picnickers.
  • Pottery – Pottery is the means of livelihood for some of the residents in Lopez Jaena, a nearby municipality in Oroquieta City in Misamis Occidental. There are several pottery shops in Lopez Jaena, such as Remedios Pottery Shop in Brgy. Sibugen, Lopez Jaena. The production of pottery and other clay works begins with the collection of the clay soil. Then the clay soil is grinded then mashed. Afterwards, it’s shaped into a pot or in to whatever shape it’s desired. Then the pots are air dried then sun dried to make it hard enough to be cooked in the oven. The last step is to cook them in the oven to make them sturdy and strong. Some of the finished products in Lopez Jaena are decorative pots, cooking pots and bricks for construction. These are displayed and sold in the local market in Oroquieta City.
