Solidarity for an inclusive and a barrier-free society

We commit to engage society and undertake efforts and activities to demonstrate that disability is not a barrier for people with disabilities to take active role in development processes, to advocate against their discrimination and inclusivity gearing towards Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon.

We aim a social order where people with disabilities find acceptance as part of God’s creation; where liberating social structures are in place and opportunities are institutionalized to enable them to realize their full potentials as human beings and lead normal productive lives in the spirit of respect, compassion, independent living, self-determination and solidarity.

TASKS

1. To unite and organize people with disabilities, their families, friends, as well as all others who support the PWD sector.

2. To in still in them a deep awareness of their rights, privileges, duties, and responsibilities in society.

3. To struggle for the empowerment of PWDs so that they may be able to uphold their rights, protect their interests, and live as productive members of their communities.

4. To intensify the promotion of public awareness on disability and unrestrained integration of PWDs into a mainstream society.

MAJOR PROGRAMS:

1. Capacity- Building and Advocacy Program

2. Livelihood/ Financial Assistance Program

3. Sports/Athletic Skills Development Program

4. Early Detection on Children with Disabilities Program

5. Rehabilitation Program thru provision of assistive devices.
