
Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental —- The Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental has successfully completed the distribution of its Pamaskong Handog 2025, a province-wide Christmas assistance program that reached thousands of Misamisnon families across the 1st and 2nd Districts.
More than 175,000 food packs were distributed to families in all cities and municipalities of the province, providing support and bringing holiday cheer to communities during the Christmas season.
The program officially kicked off on December 2 in the municipalities of Aloran and Concepcion, marking the start of the province’s annual Christmas outreach.
Governor Henry S. Oaminal emphasized that Pamaskong Handog is part of the provincial government’s continuing commitment to ensure that assistance reaches families, especially during the holidays, reflecting the Asenso leadership’s focus on inclusive and people-centered service.
In the 1st District, Pamaskong Handog covered Aloran, Baliangao, Calamba, Concepcion, Jimenez, Lopez Jaena, Oroquieta City, Panaon, Plaridel, and Sapang Dalaga, completing distribution with a 97 percent accomplishment rate.
Meanwhile, distribution in the 2nd District covered Bonifacio, Clarin, Don Victoriano, Ozamiz City, Sinacaban, Tangub City, and Tudela, achieving a 93 percent accomplishment rate.
Beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the assistance, noting that the food packs provided timely support for their families during the holiday season.

Pamaskong Handog is an annual Christmas initiative of the Asenso leadership, spearheaded by Governor Henry S. Oaminal, Vice Governor Rowena Gutierrez, and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. The program began in 2013, when Governor Oaminal first launched it during his term as 2nd District Representative, and has since expanded into a province-wide effort.
With the completion of Pamaskong Handog 2025, the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental closes the year with a program centered on direct assistance, inclusive service, and shared responsibility, continuing one of the province’s longest-running social initiatives./PGMO
